Niamh Devlin: Audio Content Creator

Hello, my name is Niamh Devlin. I am 25 and currently completing my HND in Media and Communications at the City of Glasgow College.

A woman in the media industry that inspires me is Mary Ann Hobbs, presenter on BBC Radio 6, a well renowned DJ, and Music Journalist. I love listening to her slot on the station because you can tell she works hard to be constantly showcasing new, upcoming, and underground artists as well as infusing her show with other elements of the arts such as spoken word. She is also just class, and incredibly cool as well as being politically outspoken, which I feel is important for someone with a platform to be.

I have a huge interest in creating in podcasts and radio, and want to hopefully use my career to create audio content on a wide variety of topics, whether that be to entertain, inform or educate the listener, there’s so many ways you can make audio content interesting, case in point being NTS Radios Grow with Flo podcast where the host interviews artists while the repot plants and tend to the garden.

Favourite Artist:  Dijon, just recently got to see him live in Berlin which was a dream come true after 4 years of constantly replaying his music.

Favourite TV Show:  Mob Wives… the most mental tv show ever, while being the most underrated reality show ever. Trust me soooo worth the watch.
